It's depends what you want having and doing in the sex. Sex usually depends on different sexual activities, like kissing, french kiss, hug, touching, laying on bad together,but it's usually means a sexual intercourse.  


Does Sex Having Hurt?
In first time may be sex is a hurting or painful activity for woman's but not constantly. Maybe some woman's have quiet uncomfortable in first time because their hymen (a thin layer of skin at the entrees of their vagina) is stretched or turned. But in the case of  Intercourse when their hymen stretched they have the cause of some bleeding and  tears. First time sex or intercourse is a very intense painful work for a women when a male insert his erect penis in females vagina.

  But some girls are born without hymen. And in some girls it is stretched due to some misshapes like in the case of harshly falling down, in the case of fast running, hours ridding etc.
